Conservation Scholarships

Application forms for scholarships provided by the Auxiliary of the Conservation Districts of Iowa are available to seniors who plan to pursue studies in any field of agriculture or natural resources.

Three scholarships will be awarded on the state level in the amounts of $1,800.00, $1,200.00, and $1,000.00. Six regional winners will receive $300.00 scholarships. The winner of Region 1 will also receive the $100 Art & Lois Ralston Memorial award. The Monona County winner will receive a $200.00 scholarship. The $300.00, $200.00 and $100.00 awards will be paid directly to the students.

Students should carefully read the instructions on the application form. All applications must be typed and returned to the Soil and Water Conservation District that the student resides in. The deadline for applications to be returned is Thursday, March 3, 2011.
