Western Iowa Power Cooperative Scholarship

Western Iowa Power Cooperative in conjunction with Basin Electric Power Cooperative will be awarding $4000 in scholarships this year. To be eligible the student must be a dependent child of a member of Western Iowa Power Cooperative and receive electrical service from the Cooperative.

Basin Electric Power Cooperative will award one $1000 scholarship, and Western Iowa Power Cooperative will award one $1000 and four $500 scholarships. Two of the $500 scholarships will be designated specifically for students enrolling in a vocational/technical school or community college. The scholarships must be used for education costs, and the student must enter college in the fall of the year for which the scholarship is given.

Applications must be returned to the Western Iowa Power Cooperative office in Denison or Onawa by Wednesday, February 9, 2011.
