MONONA COUNTY COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

BACKGROUND: The Monona County Community Partners Foundation (MCCPF) was established in 2005 through affiliation with the Siouxland Community Foundation. This scholarship program was established in 2007 by the MCCPF Advisory Board.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduating high school seniors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education at an accredited educational institution located in the state of Iowa.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applicants must be graduating seniors that reside in Monona County and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (out of 4.0).

SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recipients is based on such factors as scholastic performance while in high school, school and/or community service activities, work history, and essay evaluation. Community service is considered of greatest importance.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: $500, not renewable

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application must be received by the February 15 deadline and must include the following:

• Completed application with signature
• Essay
• One (1) "Character Counts" recommendation
• High School Certification Form with official high school transcript
