    FAFSA (begins January 1st)

Students can obtain a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243 or by visiting www.edpubs.org. Students may request up to three copies of the paper application and should receive their FAFSAs in three to seven business days. Also available is a PDF version that students can submit for processing. Beginning in mid-November the PDF will be available for download on various Federal Student Aid Web sites, such as www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov. Students can access the PDF, complete the form on the computer or by hand, and mail it to the address provided for processing. FAFSA on the Web Worksheets are available in the Counseling Center and should be completed as soon as possible after January 1.

FAFSA4caster is a Web tool designed to assist high school juniors and their families plan for education beyond high school. Students can receive an estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) by entering their information. This is free and will 1) instantly calculate an estimated EFC, 2) inform the student of potential Federal Pell Grant eligibility, and 3) reduce the time needed to complete the FAFSA when the student applies as a senior. Visit www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov and click on the FAFSA4caster link in the lower right corner of the home page. (This is also available in Spanish.)
